DropJet Courier Terms and Condition
Once packages are cleared from customs and received by DropJet Couriers, the following conditions apply:
- Delivery Timeline: Customers have 14 calendar days (2 weeks) to receive or collect their packages.
- Customer Responsibility: It is the customer’s responsibility to be available for delivery or to arrange timely collection within the specified period.
Storage and Abandonment Policy
Customers are required to receive or collect their packages within 14 calendar days from the date of customs clearance and receipt by DropJet Couriers.
If packages are not delivered or collected within this 14-day period, the following conditions apply:
- A daily storage fee of $300 JMD per package will be charged, starting from Day 15.
- A 3-day grace period may be granted at the company’s discretion, after which storage fees become applicable.
- Storage fees must be paid in full before delivery or collection can take place.
If the package remains unclaimed for 21 days (3 weeks total) from the date of clearance:
- The package will be considered abandoned.
- Abandoned packages may be disposed of, donated, or recycled, and DropJet Couriers will bear no further responsibility for their contents.
- All customs-related fees, duties, taxes, and penalties are the sole responsibility of the customer.
- DropJet Couriers may pay customs charges on the customer’s behalf to prevent delays, but reimbursement is required in full prior to delivery.
- If customs fines or penalties arise due to customer misdeclaration, prohibited items, or missing information, the customer will be fully liable.
- DropJet Couriers reserves the right to withhold delivery until all customs fees and penalties are paid.
Non-Insurance & Liability
- Packages are not insured by DropJet Couriers.
- The company is not responsible for any damage, loss, or breakage of goods during transit, handling, or storage.
- Customers seeking insurance are encouraged to obtain it independently.
Payment Terms
- All payments must be made on the day of delivery or before delivery.
- Packages will not be handed over without full payment.
- Accepted payment methods include [cash and bank transfer].
Claims and Time Limits
- Claims for damaged, lost, or delayed packages must be made within 7 days of the expected delivery date.
- Claims will be reviewed and responded to within 21–28 days.
- No claims will be accepted after 1 year from the package’s initial acceptance.
Indemnification
Customers agree to indemnify and hold harmless DropJet Couriers from all claims, damages, penalties, or costs resulting from:
- Shipment of prohibited or undeclared items
- Misleading or inaccurate declarations
- Breach of customs regulations
Prohibited Items
It is strictly forbidden to send illegal, restricted, or dangerous items (e.g. weapons, hazardous materials, counterfeit goods). Discovery of such items will result in seizure and may lead to legal action. The customer will be fully liable for any related fines or consequences.
Force Majeure
DropJet Couriers is not liable for delays, loss, or damages resulting from events beyond our control, including:
- Customs delays
- Weather conditions
- Natural disasters
- Civil unrest
- Industrial actions (strikes)
Customers must provide accurate and current contact and delivery information. DropJet Couriers is not liable for failed deliveries due to:
- Incorrect addresses
- Inaccessible delivery locations
- Unavailable or unreachable recipients
Proof of Delivery
DropJet Couriers may capture a photo of the package at the delivery location as proof of delivery. This photo will serve as final confirmation that the item was delivered to the address provided. In case of a dispute, this photographic evidence will be used as official verification of delivery.
Service Disclaimer
DropJet Couriers offers a standard courier and delivery service and does not guarantee delivery within a specific timeframe unless otherwise agreed in writing. Delays may result from customs processing, weather conditions, transportation disruptions, or other unforeseen events. The company shall not be held liable for such delays.
Digital Communication Consent
By using our services, customers agree to receive communication from DropJet Couriers through WhatsApp, SMS, phone calls, or email. These communications may include updates on package status, customs clearance, delivery scheduling, billing, and storage notices. Customers are responsible for providing and maintaining accurate contact information.
Refund and Cancellation Policy
All payments made to DropJet Couriers are final and non-refundable. We do not issue refunds for delays, damages, or loss due to circumstances beyond our control, including customs delays, improper packaging, or recipient unavailability. Refunds will not be granted for abandoned or uncollected packages.
Signature Waiver Policy
If the customer authorizes a package to be delivered without a physical signature, it will be left at the designated location at the customer’s own risk. DropJet Couriers accepts no responsibility for any loss, theft, or damage after such delivery is completed. Authorization may be provided verbally, in writing, or via digital communication.
Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Jamaica. Any disputes shall be resolved through:
- Mediation or binding arbitration in Kingston, Jamaica, unless otherwise agreed.

DropJet Couriers reserves the right to update or modify these terms at any time. The latest version will be available through our official website or available upon request.
